Wild Strawberry Communications has used its production management skills to help the Trades Union Congress (TUC) get its message across to the labour movement and beyond, and get maximum value with limited resources.
In September 2005 we managed the production of Solving The Pensions Crisis, a 72-page report that outlined the TUC's position in the ongoing pensions debate with clarity and style. The report marked the culmination of two year’s research and had to be produced in less than a month. Its editorial quality and use of striking imagery make the complex subject matter accessible and belie the very tight production budget.
In Spring 2006 we produced a directory for the TUC's new educational venture, unionlearn. The result was a very clear and contemporary-looking publication produced at modest cost. Subsequently we've been commissioned to manage the production of a major range of new unionlearn documents.
In August 2006 we edited and managed the production of All Work and Low Pay, a high profile report into student employment. Again we ensured that the client got a compelling publication of a standard way beyond what could be expected from the budget.
In each case we coordinated all suppliers and negotiated with photo libraries and printers to ensure that the budget was used to maximum advantage.
